Winter Favorites!

This is going to be the bloggiest blog post I've written so far.
Yesterday was the winter solstice, and even though it sure has been feeling like winter here for some time, now it's official.
So I thought I'd do a brief post on three of my favorite products that I use in the winter!

The first is Carmex lip balm. This comes in a tube, a stick, and a little pot.
Right now I'm using the stick, as it's the most convenient.
This stuff is magic y'all. Nothing soothes and smooths my lips like this.
I put it on every night before bed, and once it gets cold (like now) I use it throughout the day as well.
The biggest con with this is that it'll leave some pretty sticky lip marks on your water glass.
But that is a small price to pay for all the pros.
Carmex retails for about $2.79 at my local Target for a pack of three.

The second is Hemp Hand Protector Hand Cream from the Body Shop.
This moisturizer is INCREDIBLE. It doesn't matter how dry my hands are, this stuff will seep down through my epidermis and keep my hands so soft and protected.
I usually use it only at night, because it can leave your hands a little bit greasy until it really absorbs.
There is also a bit of a strong scent (it is Hemp after all), so if you are sensitive to strong smells, you might not like this product.
Even after you wash your hands shortly after application, this cream will keep working to protect your hands. (For real).
The 3.3 oz. size retails for $20USD at the Body Shop, but I try to wait until it's on sale. (Right now it's $14 as they're doing their winter sale!)

The third is Aquaphor Healing Ointment.
I use this on extra dry skin bits, and sometimes in place of lip balm.
I try to be careful to not overuse this though, as it's petrolatum based and that can clog my pores up.
(Still, you can tell that it's been a favorite of mine.)
The 1.75 oz. tube retails for about $4.50 at my local Target.

What are some of your favorite wintertime products?
